Terms of use
These terms apply to the Poshan website at poshanplanner.vercel.app (the "service"), run by Dr Rajesh Bandgar, MBBS, MD ("we", "us"). By using the service you agree to them.
1. What Poshan is
Poshan estimates calorie, macronutrient and micronutrient needs from the details you enter, using published equations and the ICMR-NIN 2020 Nutrient Requirements for Indians. The results are general estimates for healthy adults aged 18 and over.
2. Not a substitute for medical care
- The calculator gives general information, not a diagnosis or treatment.
- It is not meant for children, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or people with conditions such as diabetes, kidney, liver or heart disease, or eating disorders, unless a doctor guides them.
- Poshan is not for emergencies. In an emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.
3. One-to-one consultations
- Consultations are diet and lifestyle consultations with Dr Rajesh Bandgar, held online by video call or by phone call, under India's Telemedicine Practice Guidelines (2020).
- The fee is shown before you pay. It includes a 20–30 minute call, a review of the reports you share, a personalised diet plan and home exercise plan sent on WhatsApp within 24 hours of the call, one follow-up check-in within 7 days, and 1 month of Poshan Pro (added to the Poshan account with the email you give, once your payment is verified).
- After your payment is verified, you will be contacted on WhatsApp within 1–2 days to fix the call time.
- Medicines are not prescribed or changed in these consultations. Continue any treatment with your treating doctor.
- The doctor may decline or stop a consultation and advise an in-person visit when a teleconsultation is not appropriate. You will then get a full refund (see the refund policy).
- You agree to give true and complete information about your health, medicines and reports.
4. Poshan Pro
- Pro unlocks extra features in the calculator. It costs ₹199 for 3 months, paid once by UPI. It does not renew automatically.
- Pro starts once we verify your payment, usually within a few hours and always within 24 hours. Paying again adds another 3 months.
- Pro is for the personal use of the account holder only. It is linked to the account holder's sex, age and height entered at the time of payment; weight, goal, diet and activity can be changed at any time, and the linked sex, age and height can be changed once in each Pro period. Using Pro to prepare plans for other people, sharing your account, or reselling Poshan plans or meal ideas is not allowed, and may lead to Pro being cancelled without a refund. 5. Payments
- Payments are made by UPI to the account of Sindhu Bandgar (UPI ID sinban1968@oksbi), who receives payments on behalf of Dr Rajesh Bandgar.
- After paying, you enter the UPI transaction ID (UTR) so we can match your payment. Each UTR can be used once.
- We never ask for your UPI PIN, OTP or bank password. Never share them with anyone.
6. Your account
Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts used for misuse or fraud.
7. Content and use
The website, its design and plans you receive are for your personal use. Do not copy, resell or misuse them.
8. Limitation of liability
We take care to keep information accurate, but the service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect loss arising from use of the calculator. Our total liability for any consultation or subscription is limited to the amount you paid for it.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Maharashtra have jurisdiction.
